Sample preparation equipment is being used in many mature analytical technologies such as XRF, and in emerging research areas such as superconductor research, pharmaceutical testing, agricultural research, and DNA/RNA research and analysis, Products include a variety of laboratory mills, grinders, presses and dies, fusion flux equipment, and XRF  accessories, including disposable sample-handling holders for powder and liquid samples, window film, binders, grinding aids.

SPEX CertiPrep provides reliable sample preparation equipment for a wide market. These include the mineralogical, cement, and mining industries; medical and pharmaceutical research; drug testing;

environmental remediation monitoring; food and agricultural research and analysis; the cosmetic industry; and all analytical disciplines that require prepating or handling fine sample poders. A new mill designed to prepare plant or animal tissue for extractions of nucleic acids and proteins was recently introduced to serve the biotechnology market.

SPEX CertiPrep macufactures the following products and a variety of grinding containers} and milling accessories:     - Freezer/Mill- cryogenic laboratory mills that chiff samples to liquid nitrogen temperatures and pulverize them by magnetic impaction

     - Mixer/Mill - single-and dual-clamp shaker mills, or nign-energy ball mills capable pf redicomg solids to analytical fineness or blending a wide range of powers, also effective for mechanical alloying

      - Shatterbox -swing or puck and ring mills, capable of grinding 100-q samples with } resultant particle size well below 200 mesh or as fine as 10 microns

         - X-Press - automated hydraulic laboratory presses for preparation of sample pellets or flatsurfaced discs

        - XRF Accessories- SPEC-Cap for reinorcing pellets; X-Cells for liquid and power XRF samples; thin films for XRF cell windows; and PrepAid , a variety of sample binders and grinding aids

       - Geno/Grinder - shaker mill designed to process samples for nucleic acid and protein analysis.

         Additionally, SPEX CertiPrep is the Authorized Representative in the United States for Claesse Scientifique Fusion Flux equipment and supplies.
